About Us

Erik Rowland

Erik Rowland

Father and web design/programmer by profession, Erik started Play Unplugged in 2012 as a response to the Sandy Hook tragedy. As a father of three young children he felt it important for positive, proactive steps to be taken before a similar tragedy occurred in his town. From that came Play Unplugged. Since then Play Unplugged has grown from a small home-town program to one that can be found in cities throughout the mid west.

Corbin Gordon

Corbin Gordon

From musician to author, Corbin Gordon's passions are many. An attorney profession, his attention shifted two years ago in response to the need he saw to balance technology and active play time among children, including his own. Since then he has worked to grow Play Unplugged as a way to strengthen families and local economies. Corbin Gordon is a Leary Scholar from the University of Utah School of law and earned a bachelors degree in English from Brigham Young University.
